Lena has worked as Vice Chairman of Sail Training Association Germany (founding member of STI) since 2012 and is responsible for marketing, public relations and digital projects. Prior to this, she was the German representative and founding member of the STI Youth Council where she was secretary and then Vice Chairman. In 2011, she won the STI “Young Sail Training Volunteer of the Year” award.
Her connection with the sea and sail training started in 2004 as a trainee on diverse sail training vessels, which led her to the position as watch leader. During her studies, she undertook research in the field of sustainability of cruise liners and sail training vessels, as well as the topic of motivation and experiences in sail training tourism. Lena works as a brand consultant at a construction company.
