International Sail Training and Tall Ships Conference 2017 CEO Gwyn Brown

It is with sadness that we have made the decision not to hold a Sail Training International Conference in its usual format this year.

This decision has been made in light of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19, which has seen us postpone all Sail Training International events taking place this year. We also recognise the impact the pandemic has had on the Sail Training community in general, as well as the restrictions still in place relating to large gatherings.

With these factors all considered, we believe that this is the right decision for all concerned.

In order to fill the gap left by the absence of a physical conference, we are planning a series of activities which will enable the Sail Training Community to stay connected and prepare for what promises to be an exciting year of Events in 2021.

The safety of our community remains of the upmost importance to us as we plan these alternative activities and we will share the details as they become finalised in the weeks and months ahead.

We look forward to an action packed programme for 2021 and to organising a physical conference again in safer times after what we hope will have been a successful year for everyone in the Sail Training and Tall Ships community.
