Francesca is enthusiastic about the Sail Training Industry and is passionate about how tall ships are a facilitator for personal growth. Her tall ship journey began in 2017 onboard STS ‘Spirit of New Zealand’. Since then, Francesca has immersed herself in a variety of roles onboard, as volunteer crew, cadet and 3rd Mate, on S.V. ‘Tenacious’ and S.V. ‘Windeward Bound’. Francesca has recently carried out the Relief 2nd Mate role onboard ‘Spirit of NZ’, which has included supporting the Master with Navigation and the 1st Mate with the Youth Development Programme. Francesca continues to support both the Spirit of Adventure Trust and The Good Ship R. Tucker Thompson in her Tall Ships Australia & NZ Youth Rep role.
