Jelizaveta has been the Latvian representative of the Sail Training International Youth Council since 2018. Her first sail training voyage was in 2017 with Sail Training Association Latvia’s yacht, Spaniel, during the Rendez-Vous Tall Ships Regatta 2017.
Since then she has sailed as a volunteer and watch leader on different sail training vessels. She has also been involved in the organisation and implementation of a number of local and international youth sailing projects focused on non-formal education methods. On land she is working in the non-governmental sector promoting work and travel opportunities for young people.
